스타크래프트2를 만나다

2010. 7. 27 드디어 스타크래프트 2가 오픈베타의 접속을 허용하였다.



많은 이들의 기대와 우려속에 탄생한 스타크래프트2는 그 명성과 노력만큼이나 혁명적이라고 하지 않을수 없을 것 같다.

게임이라고는 거실의 비디오게임과 지하철 이동중에 짬짬이 즐기는 포터블이면 만족할수 있었던 나에게 스타크래프트2의 입문은 어쩌면 도전이랄수도 있겠다. 우리나라 국민 누구나가 하고 있던 스타크래프트 조차도 해보지 않고 관심조차 없었던 나이기 때문이다.
어쩌면 싱글플레이조차 끝내지도 못하고 중간에 관둘지도 모르지만 요 며칠 캠페인을 몇개 진행해 본 바로는 빠져들지 않을수 없는 게임인것임에는 틀림없다고 장담할수 있을 것이다.
나는 나를 너무도 잘 알기에 게임 중독이 되는 일은 없을 것이지만 남들과 같이 배틀넷 정도를 즐겁게 플레이하고 다른사람의 경기를 지켜보고 평가할줄 아는 정도가 되면 만족할수 있을리라.

뭐 끌리기는 하지만 커펌을 사용할수 없다는게 아직은 걸립니다.
나야 커펌 매니아니까... 또, 중고 매니아이기도 하구요.
년말쯤이면 커펌도 나올꺼고, 중고는 가격이 많이 떨어지지는 않을거 같네요.

핑크색상이 좋을거 같은데...

우선은 구형을 열심히 써야지요. 우측 상단에 액정번짐현상이 나타났지요. 일전에 분해했다가
스크류를 긴것으로 조립하는 바람에 손상이 간거 같아요. 뭐 게임할때는 특별히 거슬리지는 않습니다.

M-rated Manhunt 2 due on Halloween

Rockstar has never been a company to shy away from controversy--if it isn't the "Hot Coffee" scandal in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, it's the furor from the press in the weeks before the release of Canis Canem Edit (known as Bully in the US), or the banning of Manhunt 2 in the UK and Ireland.

While a game cannot be banned outright by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board in the US, it can receive an AO for Adults Only rating, which is a similar kiss of death due to release and sales policies; many major retailers in the country will not stock AO-rated games, and Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft refuse to allow them on their systems. Manhunt 2 was handed down this rating from the ESRB.

After Manhunt 2 received the AO rating, Take-Two suspended the release of the title while it "explored its options." In a recent conference call, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick promised shareholders and journalists that the title would be released.

Today, he gets his wish, as Rockstar Games announced that a "modified version" of Manhunt 2 has received an M for Mature rating for ages 17 and over, and will be released on the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, and Wii in North America on October 31.

The company did not comment on what had been cut from the title in order to achieve the lower rating. The ESRB assigned the following content descriptors to Manhunt 2: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, and Use of Drugs.
Sam Houser, founder and executive producer of Rockstar Games, commented, "Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we're glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience. We love the horror genre. Manhunt 2 is a powerful piece of interactive story telling that is a unique video game experience. We think horror fans will love it."

The company is also appealing the ban in the UK, but this is a lengthy process which could take months.
Rockstar had not returned calls for comment as of press time.

Virtual Tennis 3 결승전

PSP 클럽(회장이 쓰는 클럽이름은 DPE) 모임 가졌습니다. 남양 롯데리아에서요.
오늘은 Virtual Tennis 3 결승을 치루는 날입니다. 지형씨는 오늘이 처음이자 마지막 이네요.
첫 대전으로 나는 총무(영식씨)와 경기하고 지형씨랑 회장(홍윤씨)이 경기 치뤘습니다. 사실상의 결승전(?)이나 다름이 없었지요.

꼴찌만 안하면 된다는 신념으로 그리 어렵지 않게 통과했습니다. 물론 홍윤시가 이겼구요.

나는 당연히 홍윤씨한테 대패!

순위는 홍윤씨, 나, 지형씨, 영식씨 순입니다.

다음 게임을 정하는데 있어 결론이 안나서 영식씨가 나중에 메일로 통보하겠다고 하는군요.

암튼 아직까정 꼴찌는 안했네요. 가장 걱정이었던 7월의 DJ Max Portable 2에서 간신히 꼴찌를 면하는 바람에 말입니다.

다음부터는 기념사진이라도 한장씩 찍어야 할건가 봐요.
